In the Mask series, the portrait becomes a mask – a hollowed-out fragment. It reveals itself whilst remaining incomplete. The works are created through an intuitive process using clay or porcelain. The incised ornaments do not appear merely as decoration, but as an expression of cultural influence. As a universal means of expression, they are found in all cultures around the world and are, at the same time, always unique. Between surface and interior, the visible and the invisible, works emerge that raise questions of identity and authenticity.

In der Serie Maske wird das Porträt zur Maske – zu einem ausgehöhlten Fragment. Es zeigt und bleibt zugleich unvollständig. Die Arbeiten entstehen in einem intuitiven Prozess aus Ton oder Porzellan. Eingestochene Ornamente erscheinen dabei nicht als bloße Verzierung, sondern als Form kultureller Prägung. Als universelles Ausdrucksmittel, kommen sie in allen Kulturen der Welt vor und sind zugleich stets einzigartig. Zwischen Oberfläche und Innenraum, Sichtbarem und Unsichtbarem entstehen Arbeiten, die Fragen nach Identität und Authentizität eröffnen.
